content marketing
integrating blog posts, social media and email marketing
I provide my clients with a customized and affordable content marketing strategy that matches their unique needs and goals. I specialize in working with you to create engaging and informative content that will help increase awareness of your business and engage with your target audiences, all while working within your budget.
Why do Content Marketing?
Many sustainable businesses want to develop a content marketing plan, but think it won't really be effective. There is compelling evidence that it is.
SEMRUSH is one of the largest providers of digital content marketing services for Fortune 500 and other large businesses. They've found internally generated content is vital, saying that "... organic content brings marketers more long-term benefits than ads, which stop attracting leads as soon as you turn them off. On top of this—and somewhat counterintuitively—it’s not just online businesses that can benefit from content marketing. Offline businesses, too, can see the return on investment. According to our (SEMRUSH) State of Content Marketing 2023 Global Report, 99% of online and offline businesses with 11-50 employees generate positive results with content marketing."

1. It Starts with Blog Posts
The foundation of my approach to digital content and marketing communications is creating consistent blog posts. This positions my clients as experts in their field by either commenting on a timely news story or providing advice on topics related to their specialty.
See my sample page or go to the websites for my clients, Organic Lawns by LUNSETH, or the City of La Crosse Climate Action Plan to see examples of my work.
2. Increase Awareness with Social Media
Social media is a great way to let your existing followers know about your latest Blog Post. And it's an effective way to grow your followers by integrating hashtags and handles for other people or businesses cited in the blog post.

3. Drive Traffic with Email Marketing
Email marketing is often looked at as old school, but it continues to be one of the most effective forms of digital marketing communications.
A December 2023 research report by Statista provides some compelling statistics stating, "As the number of e-mail users continues to grow each year, e-mail has evolved into a core digital marketing format for businesses across the globe. In 2023, email marketing revenue was estimated at more than 10 billion U.S. dollars. Few, if any other channels, can compare with e-mail marketing’s average return on investment (ROI). In a late 2022 poll, around half of marketing professionals surveyed reported a two times improvement rate in their e-mail marketing campaigns’ ROI, leaving no doubt why e-mail has maintained its claim to fame for decades."
Many of my clients choose to publish a monthly email newsletter. These typically provide an excerpt of that month's blog post with a link to the post on the client's website. We also incorporate information on events that involve the client, as well as links to the client's social media posts and news stories relevant to the client's business.
